Mercedes-Benz EQV
Mercedes-Benz has supplied an electric powertrain to its long-running V-Class people mover, with the EQV. Finished with luxury trimmings and a silent-running electric powertrain, the EQV is priced more than $20,000 dearer than its diesel-powered range-sibling. The single-specification EQV costs around $155,000 before on-road costs and is currently the most expensive people mover on sale in the country. Power is supplied by a 90kWh battery pack which is said to offer the EQV up to 418km of electric driving range. Seven seats are standard inside the EQV’s cabin but buyers can option a six-seat “luxury” layout which brings individual leather armchairs for the second row.
